  • 1 pound Ground beef or Italian sausage Substitute lean turkey for a lighter option.
  • 1 medium Onion Chopped yellow onion.
  • 3 cloves Garlic Minced.
For the Layers
  • 24 oz Marinara sauce Use homemade or your favorite jar.
  • 25 oz Frozen cheese ravioli Look for whole wheat for a healthier option.
  • 1 cup Ricotta cheese Mix with herbs for added flavor if desired.
  • 2 cups Mozzarella cheese Shredded.
  • 0.5 cup Parmesan cheese Grated.

Method
 

Directions
  1. Brown the ground beef or Italian sausage along with the onion and garlic for 5-7 minutes.
  2. Spread some marinara sauce on the bottom of the slow cooker.
  3. Layer half of the ravioli, meat mixture, ricotta, mozzarella, and parmesan. Repeat layers.
  4. Set slow cooker to LOW for 4-5 hours.
  5. Let rest for 10 minutes before serving.
