Ingredients
  

For the Espresso
  • 4 shots espresso or 1 cup of strong brewed coffee
For the Pumpkin Spice Mixture
  • 1 cup milk any type: whole, almond, oat, etc.
  • ¼ cup pumpkin puree canned or homemade
  • 2 tablespoons sugar adjust to taste
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon pumpkin pie spice or a mix of cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon for garnish
For the Topping
  • ¼ cup whipped cream optional, for topping
  • 1 pinch pumpkin pie spice for garnish

Method
 

Prepare the Espresso
  1. Brew 4 shots of espresso using an espresso machine or prepare 1 cup of strong brewed coffee. This will be the base of your latte.
  2. Pour the espresso or coffee into a large mixing bowl or directly into serving mugs.
Make the Pumpkin Spice Mixture
  1. In a small saucepan, combine the milk, pumpkin puree, sugar, vanilla extract, pumpkin pie spice, and ground cinnamon.
  2. Heat the mixture over medium heat, stirring constantly until it is warm but not boiling. This helps to blend the flavors together.
  3. Once heated, use a milk frother or whisk to froth the milk mixture until it is creamy and slightly foamy.
Combine and Serve
  1. Pour the pumpkin spice milk mixture over the brewed espresso in the mugs.
  2. Top with whipped cream if desired, and sprinkle a pinch of pumpkin pie spice or ground cinnamon on top for garnish.
  3. Serve immediately and enjoy your homemade pumpkin spice latte!

Notes

For a dairy-free version, use almond, soy, or oat milk. Adjust the sweetness according to your preference. You can also add a shot of flavored syrup for extra sweetness.
