Ingredients
  

For the Roast
  • 3 pounds chuck roast well-trimmed
  • 1 packet ranch seasoning mix
  • 1 packet au jus gravy mix
For the Peppers and Juice
  • 6 pieces pepperoncini peppers
  • ½ cup pepperoncini juice
For the Finish
  • ½ cup unsalted butter cut into pieces

Method
 

How to Make Mississippi Pot Roast
  1. Place the chuck roast into the slow cooker.
  2. Sprinkle ranch seasoning evenly over the roast.
  3. Dust au jus gravy mix over the ranch seasoning.
  4. Add pepperoncini peppers around and on top of the roast.
  5. Pour pepperoncini juice around the roast.
  6. Distribute butter pieces evenly over the top.
  7. Cover and cook on LOW for 8 hours or HIGH for 5 hours.
  8. Shred the roast in the slow cooker and stir into the juices before serving.
