For the Sweet Coating

Method
 

How to Make Million Dollar Snack Mix
  1. Preheat the oven to 250°F (120°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, mix together the Rice Chex, Corn Chex, pretzel sticks, and mixed nuts.
  3. Melt the unsalted butter in a medium saucepan and stir in the brown sugar, light corn syrup, and salt.
  4. Bring to a gentle boil for about 2–3 minutes, stirring continuously until smooth.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract and cinnamon.
  6. Pour the hot butter-sugar mixture over the crunchy blend and fold together.
  7. Spread the mixture onto a prepared baking sheet and bake for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
  8. Allow the mix to cool completely on the baking sheet.
  9. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the chocolate and butterscotch chips together.
  10. Once melted, toss in M&M’s and mini marshmallows.
  11. Transfer to an airtight container for storage.
