- In a skillet over medium heat, add your ground beef or chicken. Cook until browned, about 8-10 minutes, then mix in the taco seasoning.
- In a bowl, mix the cooked meat with shredded cheese, cream cheese, green onions, and jalapeño if using. Stir until well blended.
- Lay out a wonton wrapper on a clean surface. Place a teaspoon of the filling in the center, moisten the edges with water, fold and press to seal.
- In a deep frying pan, heat oil over medium-high heat. Add the wontons in batches, frying for about 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Use a slotted spoon to remove wontons from oil. Place on paper towels to drain and serve hot.
