For the Marinade
  • 2 jalapeños sliced thin, seeds removed for milder heat
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tablespoon honey to balance the spice
  • 2 tablespoon soy sauce for umami flavor
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil for sautéing
  • 1 lime juice freshly squeezed
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika for a smoky flavor
  • salt & pepper to taste
For Serving
  • fresh cilantro chopped for garnish
  • lime wedges for extra zing

How to Make Jalapeño Chicken
  1. Pat the chicken breasts dry with a paper towel. Season both sides generously with salt, pepper, and smoked paprika.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, fresh lime juice, minced garlic, and sliced jalapeños.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the seasoned chicken breasts and cook for 5–6 minutes on each side.
  4. Pour the marinade over the chicken in the skillet. Let it simmer for 3–5 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  5. Remove from heat and garnish with chopped cilantro. Serve alongside cooked rice or roasted vegetables.
