How to Make Homemade Cheesy Breadsticks
- In a mixing bowl, stir together warm water, sugar, and yeast. Allow this mixture to foam for about 5 minutes.
- Add olive oil, salt, and flour to the foamy mixture. Mix until you form a soft dough.
- On a floured surface, knead the dough for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place it in a lightly oiled bowl, cover, and let it rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Transfer the dough to a baking sheet and press or roll it into a rectangle about ½ inch thick.
- In a small bowl, combine the melted unsalted butter and garlic powder. Brush this mixture over the shaped dough.
- Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan evenly over the dough.
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and bake the breadsticks for 15 minutes, or until golden brown.
