Baking Instructions
- Whisk together the dry ingredients: combine flour, ginger, cinnamon, cloves, and nutmeg.
- Cream the butter and sugar until fluffy and light in color.
- Add egg and molasses, mixing until fully incorporated.
- Gradually combine dry ingredients with wet ingredients until just mixed.
- Chill the dough wrapped in plastic wrap for at least 15-20 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Roll tablespoon-sized balls of dough in granulated and powdered sugar, and place on baking sheets.
- Bake for about 12 minutes until the tops are cracked and slightly firm to the touch.
