Method
 

Preparation

  4. Cut the cold butter into the dry ingredients using a pastry cutter or your fingers until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  5. Stir in the milk and vanilla extract gently until just combined.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of the batter over the strawberry mixture, spreading it out as evenly as you can.
  7. Bake for 35–40 minutes until the topping is golden brown and bubbling.
