How to Make Crock Pot Chicken and Rice
- Grease the slow cooker lightly with cooking spray or butter to prevent sticking.
- Layer the chicken breasts at the bottom of the crock pot, seasoning them with salt, black pepper, paprika, and dried thyme.
- Add the diced onion, minced garlic, uncooked long-grain white rice, and chicken broth on top of the chicken.
- Dot the mixture with unsalted butter, then cover the crock pot with its lid.
- Cook on LOW for 3-4 hours.
- Shred the chicken in the pot, mixing it well with the rice and broth, then stir in heavy cream.
- Adjust seasoning as needed before letting it rest for a few minutes.
