  • 2 cups Carrots (sliced)
  • 1 cup Celery (chopped)
  • 3 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • ¼ cup All-purpose flour
For the Broth
  • 6 cups Chicken broth
  • 1 cup Heavy cream
For the Add-Ins
  • 2 cups Cooked chicken (diced or shredded)
  • 9 ounces Cheese tortellini
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon Salt (or to taste)
  • ½ teaspoon Black pepper (or to taste)
  • 2 cups Fresh spinach

How to Make Creamy Chicken Tortellini Soup
  1. Melt butter and olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  2. Add onion, carrots, and celery, and cook until softened, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Stir in garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  4. Sprinkle flour over vegetables and cook briefly, about 1-2 minutes.
  5. Gradually whisk in chicken broth until smooth.
  6. Simmer until slightly thickened, about 5-10 minutes, then stir in cream and seasoning.
  7. Add chicken and tortellini, and simmer until the pasta is tender, around 5-7 minutes.
  8. Stir in spinach until wilted, about 2 minutes, then adjust seasoning if needed.
