Ingredients
  

For the Loaf
  • 1 loaf French or Italian loaf Choose a crusty bread
For the Filling
  • 1 lb thinly sliced beef Flank or ribeye preferred
  • 1 whole green bell pepper Sliced
  • 1 whole onion Sliced
  • 1.5 cups provolone cheese Shredded
For the Garlic Butter
  • 4 tablespoon butter Melted

Method
 

Cooking Instructions
  1. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add the thinly sliced beef. Cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  2. In the same skillet, add the sliced green bell pepper and onion. Sauté for 3-4 minutes until softened.
  3. Cut the French or Italian loaf lengthwise to create a pocket. Spoon in the beef and vegetable mixture, then top with shredded provolone cheese.
  4. Mix melted butter with minced garlic (if desired) and brush over the stuffed loaf.
  5. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake the loaf covered for 15 minutes, then uncover and bake for another 10-15 minutes.
