Method
 

Preparation

  2. Whisk together eggs, milk, heavy cream, granulated sugar, brown sugar, vanilla extract, cardamom, cinnamon, and a pinch of salt until combined.
  3. Combine bread cubes and diced pears in the baking dish and pour custard mixture over them. Let soak for 15 minutes.
  4. Drizzle melted butter on top, then bake for 40-45 minutes until golden brown and set.
Caramel Sauce
  1. Melt the granulated sugar in a saucepan over medium heat without stirring until it becomes a rich amber color.
