Ingredients

Zucchini Chips
  • 2 medium zucchini sliced into thin rounds (about ⅛ inch thick)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil extra virgin for best flavor
  • 1 teaspoon salt adjust to taste
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper freshly ground for better flavor
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder optional for extra flavor
  • 1 teaspoon paprika optional for a smoky flavor

Method

Prepare the Zucchini
  1. Wash the zucchini thoroughly under cold water to remove any dirt or pesticides. Pat dry with a clean towel.
  2. Using a sharp knife, slice the zucchini into thin rounds, about ⅛ inch thick. This thickness ensures they become crispy in the air fryer.
  3. Place the zucchini slices in a mixing bowl.
Season the Zucchini
  1. Drizzle the olive oil over the zucchini slices. Toss them gently to coat evenly. This oil helps achieve a crispy texture.
  2. Sprinkle the salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika over the zucchini. Toss again to ensure all slices are well-seasoned.
Air Fry the Zucchini Chips
  1. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 5 minutes. Preheating helps to ensure even cooking.
  2. Line the air fryer basket with parchment paper to prevent sticking, if desired. Place the seasoned zucchini slices in a single layer in the basket. Avoid overcrowding to ensure they crisp up properly.
  3. Cook the zucchini chips in the air fryer for 10-15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through cooking to promote even crisping. Keep an eye on them to prevent burning, as cooking times may vary based on the air fryer model.
  4. Once they are golden brown and crispy, remove them from the air fryer and let them cool for a few minutes before serving.
