Ingredients

Marinade
  • 1 lb boneless skinless chicken thighs
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 2 tablespoon olive oil or avocado oil
  • 2 tablespoon lemon juice fresh
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 teaspoon cumin
  • 2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon salt
Garlic Sauce
  • 1 cup mayonnaise or Greek yogurt
  • 2 cloves garlic very finely minced
  • 2 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoon olive oil

Equipment

  • mixing bowl
  • Oven
  • Skillet

Method

Recipe Steps
  1. Start by combining the yogurt, olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, cumin, paprika, turmeric, cinnamon, salt, and a dash of pepper in a mixing bowl.
  2. Add the boneless chicken thighs to the marinade, ensuring they are all coated evenly. Let the chicken marinate for at least 2 hours, or better yet, overnight.
  3. Set your oven to 425°F (or preheat a skillet over medium-high heat) while the chicken marinates.
  4. Once preheated, cook the chicken until it’s deeply golden and fully cooked, about 20-25 minutes.
  5. After cooking, let the chicken rest for a few minutes, then slice it thinly for serving.
  6. In a separate bowl, combine mayonnaise, very finely minced garlic, lemon juice, and olive oil. Stir until smooth.
  7. Plate the sliced chicken and drizzle generously with the garlic sauce. Serve in wraps, over a salad, or on a plate with your favorite sides.
